I have devoured all of King's books in this series. Three books and each one is better than the previous one. If you are reading this then you can see the Plum connection. However this time the plot is the star. There twists and clues to keep you on your toes and still have to wait for the final chapter to find out the ending. Grandmother is a hoot and one smart cookie and a delightful character. Kat doesn't sit around and say "woe is me" she moves the story along with her actions. One thing that I like is the time line of these books. It is a non stop story line. There is no breaks in time from the first book to this book. The dad mystery is the thing that hangs in the background and the motivation for the action. King doesn't let the reader forget this but uses it to introduce new bad guys and for motivation for the grandmother. So far a great series.Product details

I got the second book of this series as one of the 99 cent books I pick up from time to time, and was immediately hooked. The characters are delightfully quirky and the mood manages to be a bit light and silly.
Really good serie. Kat is fun. The books are a little short but the story telling is fun, with lots of will she, won t she?
The story continues to be compelling and funny. Characters are new and original. look forward to the next in the series.
It was funny, exciting, and different love all the characters. Loved it so much I read all 5 in one week and I 'd give all of them 5 stars. Looking forward to the next book.
Have to love those mob families! Take care of their own and then some. Katerina is still trying to find her dad. Baboulas is still trying to get Katerina to take over the Family leadership. Nikos is still trying to get Katerina. How will this all end??
Love the unsure but highly effectiveness of the characters... Good and "evilllll" who doesn't struggle with the concept often... Reading the whole series, cause if ya have something ya can't put down, it must be worth reading....
Alex King can WRITE! The descriptions are half the reason I loved this series. The characters were the other half. My lack of math skills is obvious in that the plot was the third half of what I loved about these books. I'm hoping Kat Makris (with an s) graces more books for us. I've seen her grow. I like her. I've grown to care about her family and many members of her Family. I'll be checking out other books by King.
For the record, I'm putting this same review on each of the Kat Makris books because I loved them all and because I want people to know that when they consider them. Ok and because I'm lazy.
